Got another one done!

I got another layout done today for the BP LOAD challenge! YAY! That makes 3 - only 28 more to go. I thought maybe today I would just scrap the day away - wishful thinking. One is better than none so I'm happy. I also FINALLY listed the 2008 planner I made on ebay. I worked on that thing forever. It was a great idea that turned into a MONSTER of a book. I will never get enough for it to have justified making it but it was fun to do. I think this year I'll make a set of pages every month with my kits so that in December I'll have a whole planner's worth of pages without having spent a month on it!!
Off to make dinner (yeah, I know it's 630p!). Have a great night!

His Strength is Perfect

I've had this song in my head since yesterday. I absolutely LOVE it - it's gotten me through some tough times. Just thought I'd share it with you...maybe you need it too :). Click on the link to hear it

HIS STRENGTH IS PERFECT

So, last night I started organizing my coupons and I went online to HT to get my list going. I finished around 1am and decided I was gonna go shopping right then! LOL I got back around 215am. Of course, that was the night that Ethan decided he was thirsty AND we had no apple juice. Thankfully, when DH called to tell me, I was already on my way back - with apple juice! I saved $40some - not too bad. Then, this morning I went to Lowe's w/more coupons (only double there) and saved another $20 or so. I'll get the hang of it one day. I even got myself a huge BINDER to put my coupons in and dividers for each section of the supermarket!! LOL Can you believe it?? I'm THAT woman! You know the crazy, penny pinching housewife with a BINDER full of coupons buying ONLY stuff that's on sale! Ah, I swore I'd never be her...and yet, here I am! I thought I was thrifty before - I've only begun to scratch the surface. Think of how much money I'll save on food to spend on scrapbooking stuff! (insert evil smiley here!) LOL I'll have to take a pic of my super coupon binder for you all to laugh at. It has a zipper and compartments and everything!

I did another layout for the BP LOAD challenge. That's 2 and I should be on 5 tmrw. I really hope to get all 31 done before the month's end. Don't know if it'll happen but I can try!

Well, that's all for now, I think. I have rebates to submit. Did I tell you about the black & decker dust buster I got at Linens & Things for $29.99 and they're giving me a $25 gift card back? A dustbuster for $4.99 after all is said & done! There are bargains to be had ladies!

Oh, and I went to Target today and they had their Christmas stuff at 75% off. So, of course, I got 4 little wreaths like the ones I have on the windows outside downstairs. Next year, I'll have matching wreaths on all 8 windows in the front. Now I need to find 2 more for the windows above the garage. Maybe I'll go to another Target tmrw.

I'm not a slave!!

I'm not a slave to this blog. And yet, here I am still tweaking. What have I accomplished today? Not a whole lot.

I stayed up late last nite working on a layout for the BIG PICTURE layout a day challenge - so late, I missed the deadline for yesterday's entry! Oh well, I guess it'll be today's entry. I love scrapping for myself after having made all those Christmas gifts and custom orders over the last month. Don't get me wrong, I welcome the business! But I started scrapping to preserve MY memories and it seems I don't do enough of that lately. Count that as another resolution!

I haven't made it to Harris Teeter for triple coupons yet either. My friend, April, dropped off her extra coupons for me to look through and I've just finished that now. I think I'll try to go after the kids go to bed tonite. This couponing business requires so much time and energy and organization! DH isn't convinced it saves us money because he says TIME is money. It takes me so much time to get everything together that he thinks it's just not cost effective. But I LOVE to see the receipt when it says 'Savings: $50.00' ! I'll get a system going soon enough, I'm sure.

I'm off to accomplish something....anything. Although, I really want to nap......

I DID IT!...I think....

So, I've decided to try this whole blog thing cuz apparently, I'm the only person in the world who didn't have one. I'm not sure if I've done it right; not sure if I like my template; not sure how to put stuff on here; not sure if I'll actually update it- BUT - here it is! I'm sure there'll be a million changes along the way but it's a start!

Well, here we are in 2008. I can't believe another year is upon us. Last year is a blur thanks mostly to my pregnancy and bed rest. I don't want this year to be as hazy so I've resolved to keep a mini diary of sorts. I intend to keep a monthly calendar on my desk and write down the highlights of every day. I wonder how long I'll keep that up? LOL Ok, so here are all my resolutions for 2008: keep a 'diary', teach Ethan to read, make it to more MOM's club meetings, stock my site with product and PLAN our meals at least 1 week in advance. Oh yeah, I also wanna be a real true 'couponer'; you know, those ladies who buy $200 of groceries and only pay .35c! Tmrw is triples day at Harris Teeter so, we'll see how I do!

My mom got me the Jessica Seinfeld book 'Deceptively Delicious' for Christmas. I can't wait to try some of the recipes. Thankfully, Ethan LOVES his veggies but it can't hurt to incorporate them in some food too! I'll let you know how that goes.

So, I guess that's all for now. Don't laugh, I'll get the hang of this yet!!
